What is a perfume decant?

A decant is a smaller bottle filled with liquid transferred directly from the original, large manufacturer bottle. Decants allow fragrance enthusiasts to try expensive, rare, or niche perfumes in smaller quantities (2ml, 3ml, 5ml, or 9ml) before committing to the cost of a full-sized bottle.

Are your fragrances authentic?

Yes, 100% absolutely. Authenticity is the core foundation of Arôme Essence. We never dilute, alter, or counterfeit any fragrance. Every single decant is hand-poured directly from the original, genuine manufacturer bottle into our custom glass atomizers.

What do the different sizes look like?

We offer four premium glass atomizer formats to fit your needs:

  • 2ml: Perfect for a quick test (approx. 25–30 sprays).

  • 3ml: The sweet spot for discovering a new scent over a week or two (approx. 40–45 sprays).

  • 5ml: Great for travel or deeper testing (approx. 70–75 sprays).

  • 9ml: Luxury travel size; gives you plenty of wears for a full season (approx. 130–140 sprays).

Does the decant come in the original bottle?

No. You will receive the exact, authentic fragrance house juice, but it will be housed in our sleek, high-quality Arôme Essence glass spray atomizers, complete with professional, clear labeling. The original large bottles shown on our website are for visual reference and proof of authenticity only.

2. Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship?

We proudly ship to fragrance connoisseurs all across Canada.

Where are you located?

Our boutique operations are based in the beautiful town of Waterloo, Quebec.

How much does shipping cost?

  • Standard Shipping: We offer affordable standard shipping across Canada via Canada Post. Free standard shipping on orders over 99$.

  • Tracked Shipping: Fully tracked parcel.

How long will it take to receive my order?

We hand-pour and pack orders within 1 to 3 business days. Once handed over to Canada Post, delivery times typically range from:

  • Quebec & Ontario: 3 to 7 business days.

  • Rest of Canada: 5 to 10 business days.

  • Please note that standard untracked lettermail can occasionally experience postal delays.

3. Orders & Returns

Can I change or cancel my order?

Because we process and hand-pour orders quickly, please contact us immediately if you need to make a change. Once an order has been poured or shipped, we unfortunately cannot alter or cancel it.

What is your return policy?

Due to the hygienic nature of personal care products and the fact that our fragrances are hand-poured to order, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges if you do not like the scent. We highly recommend starting with our 2ml or 3ml formats to test a fragrance safely!

My order arrived damaged. What should I do?

While we wrap our glass atomizers securely to withstand transit, accidents can occasionally happen. If a bottle leaks or breaks during shipping, please email us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damaged item, and we will gladly arrange a replacement.

4. Fragrance Care

How should I store my decants?

To keep your perfumes smelling perfect, store your decants in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations (avoid keeping them in a humid bathroom). Properly stored decants will maintain their integrity for years.
