Diptyque is an iconic, avant-garde Parisian luxury house that holds a legendary status as one of the true pioneers of modern niche perfumery.

Unlike houses founded by traditional corporate perfumers, Diptyque was born in the heart of the artistic Left Bank of Paris from a purely bohemian, creative collaboration between three close friends with diverse artistic backgrounds: Christiane Montadre-Gautrot (an interior designer), Yves Coueslant (a theater administrator and set designer), and Desmond Knox-Leet (a painter). Founded in 1961.
