Description:
Fleur du Mal by Dries Van Noten, launched in 2022, is a unisex "Floral" fragrance that is built on the concept of duality and contrast. The perfumer, Quentin Bisch, wanted to capture the two-sided nature of osmanthus, a flower that can be innocent and angelic on one hand, and sensual and "devilish" on the other. This fragrance opens with a juicy burst of peach, leading into a floral heart of osmanthus and jasmine. The delicate floral notes are then grounded by a rich and velvety base of suede and amber, creating a unique and captivating scent that is both sweet and animalic. It is a sophisticated, modern, and rule-breaking fragrance that beautifully balances a floral sweetness with a leathery warmth.
